I got a pair of the APX after seeing a youtube video. I have used them launching and landing a friends power boat. They worked really well and drain pretty quick. After launching and getting back on the boat they were comfortable to wear all day fishing from the boat. I also used them for launching and landing pedal kayaks and they worked well but different launch area with fine rock which did get in the shoes but they are easy enough to take off, rinse in the water and put back on.
I gave them a 4 as I forgot to pay attention to the warning not to pull hard on the laces and I pulled through one of the top eyelets. I am hoping I can use a marine glue to fix and try and reinforce the other eyelets and hopefully Crosskix will figure out a reinforcement.
